Feng Shui Bed Placement:
Create stability in your life

Proper feng shui bed placement is essential in creating a restful, peaceful, sensual and happy bedroom. There are many important things to consider.

Be sure your bed has a good mattress and box spring with a sturdy frame. Your bed should be up and off of the floor and not laying on the floor without a frame since energy must flow and meander all around your bed including underneath it and to the sides of it.

Be sure not to store anything underneath your bed. Clean under your bed for dust and debris which will be sure to collect. Do this on a regular basis. A clean bedroom is conducive to a good night's sleep.

 Proper Feng Shui Bed Placement

For the best feng shui bed placement, the wall you put your bed on must be a solid wall, meaning without windows. If it is impossible to place your bed on a solid wall and it must be on a wall with a window, then the window covering must be solid so that light from outdoors cannot be seen in the bedroom as you sleep as this will have an unsettling effect on your body rhythms.

The headboard that you choose is very important in feng shui bed placement. It should be sturdy. Using no headboard or a shaky headboard will not be conducive to good feng shui. If your bed is under or in front of a window, then having a sturdy headboard is of even greater importance. Having stability in your bedroom will enhance stable relationships both in the bedroom, your home and your life outside of the bedroom. The unseen energy that is surrounding you within your home is still attached to you when you leave your home. Be sure to get it right because you want good, positive energy around you all day long.

Since energy meanders, be sure to have space around your bed so that you can get into your bed from both sides of the bed. Never put your bed up against a wall so that the bed is stuck in a corner because you will find yourself stuck in life. You can make room on the side of your bed by placing bed  stands which will provide space between the bed and the wall. Bed stands do not have to be matching as this will allow for individuality between bed partners.

The Door, The Bed and Your Good Life

The bed should not be placed so that the bedroom door is behind you. Instead you should be able to see out of the door. In Feng Shui this is to help with the element of surprise or danger. You always want to see who is coming into your space.

However, do not face the door or window directly. You don't want your precious energy escaping right out of the room. What this means is that when you are lying on your bed your feet should not be facing towards the door or window. Move your bed if possible to avoid this bed position. When it's not possible to avoid this, then put some furniture at the foot of the bed that is at least as high as your feet are.

A foot board will work too or a very low partition. Shelving will work or possibly a chair. You can get creative with this cure as long as something is at your feet to avoid your chi escaping.

For proper Feng Shui bed placement you don't want any sharp angles pointing at you. So take a good look around and make sure that no sharp angles from furniture corners or cornered walls are facing you in bed like daggers. If there are sharp corners then you must make changes.

If it's not possible to change the direction of the furniture so the sharp angles are not facing your bed, then consider putting something on the sharp corners. Be creative by using a bow, silk flower or scarf attached to the corner of the sharp furniture so you will stop the daggars of sharp furniture. If the wall is sharp, considering putting a crystal dangling from the ceiling to break up the sharpness of the wall.
